Youth CrossFit (Portland)

Box Tots: Ages 4-6

This is a program for our youngest athletes where the focus is foundational and gymnastics movement. This is a one hour fun filled class where we focus on body awareness, balance, control, coordination and social skills. We work on these in the form of games and short skill practice

Classes are grouped by age and require Coach permission to attend a class outside the designated age group.

This session based class meets on Thursdays at 4:15pm

Box Kids: Ages 7-11

This program focuses on continued development of movements that are maintained in the younger class. We begin to introduce higher-level movement patterns such as body weight strength, gymnastic movements, core strength, endurance, technique work, goal setting and touch on nutrition. For this age group our one hour classes will begin to introduce workouts and teach one new movement that is included in that day’s workout. This challenges young athletes in a safe environment to foster improvement in movement at all skill levels. We start each class and end each class with a game as we continue to promote FUN while working on movement.

Classes are grouped by age and require Coach permission to attend a class outside the designated age group.

Box Teens: Ages 12-17

This program takes all movement progressions, technique, and base strength and begins to ramp up towards our athletes specific goals. We add specific strength training, gymnastics, mobility, speed, and agility into training. Our focus is on form, technique and safety and while we continue to have fun we no longer incorporate games into classes. This class will set your teen up for success by giving them frequent opportunities to conquer new skills, build strength, teamwork and leadership skills.

Classes are grouped by age and require Coach permission to attend a class outside the designated age group.

This session based class meets Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30pm

    • October 11th – November 17th

 

Saturday Pop-Up Kids Club: Ages 4-12

Unlike our other session based programs this is a drop-in program, so you can come as often as we hold classes. In this one hour fun filled class we explore movement through play in the form of games, obstacle courses and more. Each class will have a kid friendly “workout of the day”.
