At Beacon we use the CrossFit methodology which is constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. We are committed to the safety of our athletes! Having our athletes build stable and strong cores is one of those aspects of safety that we are very passionate about. We add a core focused WOD as an option for everyday’s WOD.
Explanation of WOD: The Coach will take the first few minutes of class to go over the workout of the day, the stimulus, and explanation of movements.
Warm Up: The Coach will lead the class through a general warm up to activate the main group of muscles that will be used in the workout. Once the athletes are warmed up the coach will lead the class through a movement specific warmup.
WOD: The Workout Of The Day can be anywhere from 5-35 minutes long. The coach will make sure you are performing the WOD with the correct stimulus in mind while keeping you safe!
Cool Down/ Mobility: After the WOD you will be lead through a cool down before putting equipment away.
