Train with Purpose. Compete with Confidence.

Summer is the perfect time for student-athletes to level up. Whether they play football, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, or run cross country—our Summer Strength & Conditioning Series is built to help them move better, build strength, and show up to fall preseason ready to go.

This isn’t just about lifting weights or running drills. It’s about learning how to move well, preventing injury, and growing as an athlete.

Why Preseason Training Matters

When athletes jump straight into a busy season without preparing their bodies, they’re more likely to get injured—especially in areas like the knees, hips, and ankles. That’s why what they do in the weeks leading up to preseason is so important. A strong foundation means they can show up healthy and confident on day one.

Our summer training helps athletes build strength in the muscles that support their joints, improve their movement mechanics, and increase their body awareness. This kind of smart, intentional training is often called prehab—it’s what athletes do before injury to help stay out of the training room and on the field.

It’s not just physical, either. Athletes who train in the off-season often return more confident, focused, and mentally ready for the challenges of a new season. They know their bodies are prepared—and that mindset can be a game-changer.

Athletes Will Learn

In every session, athletes will learn how to train with purpose. We’ll teach them the basics—but not just to get through the workout. They’ll learn how to do these movements with control, good form, and power. These skills transfer directly to their sport, no matter what they play.

They’ll learn how to squat, lunge, jump, and land safely—things they do in almost every sport. They’ll also learn how to use their core to support movement and prevent strain on their back and joints. The goal is to help their bodies move as one strong, coordinated unit.

We also spend time on speed, agility, and conditioning, using drills that match the real demands of game-day situations. Whether it’s quick changes of direction, sprints, or building endurance, we’re helping athletes train the right way, not just the hard way.

Just as important, athletes will learn how to warm up properly, how to take care of their bodies outside of training, and how to recover between sessions. These are lifelong skills that will help them stay in the game, improve performance, and grow into strong, capable movers.

Meet Coach TJ Leach

This summer program is led by Coach TJ Leach, a Level 2 CrossFit Coach with 14+ years of training experience and a strong background in competitive sports.

TJ grew up in Maine playing hockey, football, cross country, and went on to play college lacrosse at Elmira College in New York. He’s coached middle and high school athletes in Maine and loves helping young people develop strong foundations and good habits early.

Coach TJ’s sessions are high-energy, focused, and fun. He brings a unique perspective—not just as a coach, but also as a current professional snowmobile racer. He knows what it takes to compete and stay healthy.

His mission?

“Teach athletes to do the basics, exceptionally well.”
